Guided Half Day Wine Tour

MAKE RESERVATION

Our destination for a half day guided wine tour is Attica, one of the oldest wine regions in Greece, and close to Athens. The area is famous because of the white Savatiano variety, and lately also because of another white variety, Malagousia, both wines with a particular aromatic character.

Many red wines are also produced nowadays in Attican wine country, which are more and more competitive in the international wine market. To name only one, the Greek variety Agiorgitiko (St George).

We will visit one of the best wine estates in the region, owned by a family who has gained knowledge and experience in grape cultivation since more than a century; the new generation of winemakers have combined this with modern vinification methods to produce excellent results.

The wine making history of the Vassiliou family began in 1905. Third generation George Vassiliou, an oenologist, continued his family’s passion for wine-making. On his modern estate you will taste the most prominent Greek native varieties, white and red.

After the wine tastings we will bring you to the seaside, to a very pleasant Greek tavern, where you will be able to try Greek traditional dishes.

During this private tour you will be accompanied by a wine guide/driver. You will be picked up at your hotel, and brought back after the lunch.

the tour is available upon request for you and your private group of 2 persons minimum. We can also organize tours for anniversaries and special occasions.
